Meet Rhett
Everyone meet Rhett. He’s one of the hardest working people I have met in DC. A polymath creative and entrepreneur, Rhett is a great example of the variety of skills independent creatives can hone and utilize to serve all sorts of clients and endeavors.
For example, off the top of my head, I know that Rhett is a journalist, writer, branding and marketing specialist, producer, founder and editor of The Lab Magazine. He can build websites, put on events and help launch businesses. Oh, he’s also getting back into promoting big ticket MMA fights around the country.
How he finds the time for all this and keep it together is beyond me. He says he drinks a lot of water and avoids coffee, which definitely probably helps. For example, he was up until 2 or 3 in the morning on the day of his Art Lab Portrait Session, and he still looked great. Maybe there’s more to that all water/no coffee thing than I initially gave credence to.
Anyway, his session was a breeze. We did my series of portraits and close in headshots that I am working on for members of the Gateway Media Arts Lab. This whole series of images was created in a few minutes and Rhett is already deploying the images throughout his creative empire.
